The Decemberists Poster

The Decemberists Poster

It took me a while to find the subtle charm of The Decemberists. It wasn’t until the tune “Leslie Anne Levine” that I grew to adore this pseudo-Irish band. I mean, if you can’t love a song about a baby that’s dead and haunting a ravine than what can you love? Yourself? Never.

Anyway, when I noticed that The Decemberists were playing two soon-to-be sold out shows at the 9:30 I knew it would be special. I was inspired by the song “The Infanta” which proclaims we must all praise the woman riding the elephant as well as the name of the tour which “The Rout of the Patagons.” And for those who don’t use Patagon in their everyday vernacular, a Patago is a mythical race of giants discovered by Magellan. I mention this so I don’t get a flood of emails and comments asking why the damn woman is so big.

The limited-edition, silk-screened poster will not be available at the show so please check it out on El JEFE DESIGN and at the store for all your poster needs by clicking here.
