Ever since I got The End of Silence record as a freshman in high school I knew the Rollins Band was for me. Combining elements of funk, jazz, hardcore, and straight-up rock, Rollins and crew have been delivering the soundtrack to my life since then. So it was an honour to be able to do this poster promoting the tour as it stops at the 9:30 Club in DC with The Riverboat Gamblers, the classic Rollins Band lineup, and LA punk legends X.
Using the tour title, As the World Burns and the classic Rollins Band song “Hotter and Hotter” the poster represents the twenty+ years Rollins and X spent on the road playing heavy and harder than most bands half their age. It also is a welcome home of sorts for Henry and Chris with use of the DC map in the background. The poster is four colors with a nifty silver varnish printed on recycled grey paper.
